Happy Hello

The challenge over at SCS today was to make a clean and simple card using red and white. This is what I cam up with. All supplies are from SU. The stamp set is called Happy Days and the ink color is real red.

gently falling so sorry

I needed a sympathy card for a family friend. This is what I came up with. Rose and her husband and my parents were good friends for many years. I'm sending this card to her family. Wishing them all peace and strength to get through this difficult time.
The stamp sets I used: gently falling and so sorry.
The ink" pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry and old olive.

Made this for the color challenge over at SCS. Had to use summer starfruit, Cajun craze and soft suede. These colors remind of the leaves changing here in NH. I have been walking for a few days trying to drop some weight. Hope the weather stays nice for a few more weeks. I'm going to hate walking in the dark and snow. Wish me luck. Yay, it's Friday and payday. Have a good one.

This is my new favorite stamp set. It's called Wetlands and it's from SU. Also loving the thinlets die cuts for making flip cards. It's so much easier than the old way. I hope SU makes more. The colors is used for this card: early espresso ink. The paper is very vanilla and marina mist.
Went to my 40th high school reunion, I still can't believe that I have been out of high school that long. Where does the time go? Guess that's it, thanks for stopping by.

Sahara Birds

This is the first time I have used this stamp set. It's from SU called Wetlands. I've seen a lot of people doing a technique with masking tape or painters tape. I used painters tape for this. Used sahara sand, soft sky and chocolate chip ink. I think this would make a great man card. Watching the Yankees, hopefully they will win and make the wild card. Then they could keep playing for a few more weeks.

Slushy Flowers

It's been a while since I've posted a card. I made this for the color challenge over at SCS. All items are from SU. The color challenge: pear pizzazz, midnight muse and strawberry slush. The two stamps sets: Summer Silhouettes and Silly Salutations.

My mother's house is finally cleaned out and has been on the market for about 10 weeks. We have lowered the price twice. Everyone that sees the house says it's nice, they just don't like the layout. Not to much I can do about that. The realtor says that if it doesn't sell in the next 4 to 6 weeks we will probably be stuck with it over the winter.  Oh well. It is what it is.

I will try to be better at posting. Not sure if many people even look at my blog. Thanks for stopping by.

It's been a while since a posted a card. this card is for the challenge over at scs. we had to made a card about a favorite scent. everyone loves chocolate, right.

Made this card for the CAS challenge over at SCS. The challenge was to use red, black and white, Another snow day here in NH we will be going to school til June 27th. The kids are checked out at the end of May. It's going to be a long June.

another new thing from su. It's a die cut. I made this for the color challenge over at scs. the city guy came and checked out the house, they meet on the 19th of March, and hopefully the taxes will be lower and we should get some money back. thanks for stopping and looking, i never know if anyone checks out the cards or not. if you do thanks.

Fun

Got new things from SU today, this set is one of the things. Had to make a card with chevrons on it. I think this makes a great man card. I've had this week off from school and I have been very busy. I had a haircut, went and had an eye appointment. I also have a cold. The appraiser came and checked out my mothers house. If it was painted we would have been appraised higher. So we are going to be painting the ceilings and all the walls. I want to have the house on the market by the send of the month. My mother was being taxed on a house that was worth a lot more than it's listed for. So I had to go to city hall and talk to them about reducing the taxes, so the city guy is coming out on Monday. I can't wait till we are done with the house and it's sold along with all the other stuff. I want to get my life back so I can read more and make more cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Needed a birthday card. this is what I came up with. the cupcake stamp is from SU, not sure where the music stamp is from, a friend gave it to me.

green leaves

Made this card for the way to use it challenge over at scs. we had to use green. so seeing that the northeast is getting hit with a snow storm. i really want to see green leaves. this is my first triple layered card. it's still snowing here in nh and they said that they aren't going to be delivering mail tomorrow. what about their creed, thru snow sleet and hail. oh well, thanks for looking and hopefully we won't be trapped in the house tomorrow, we have to go and get our taxes done.

Believe Sympathy

Got a bunch of new stuff yesterday so I made this card. The embossing folder is clouds. The stamp set is calledmillion dollars moments, it's a hostess set. The colors are from the color coach., it's basic gray and calypso coral. Thanks for stopping and looking.

thinking of you card

It's been a while since I've posted. Made this card for a friend at work. All products are from SU.
Well, my mother passed away Jan. 10. We all new it was coming, but not quite so soon. She had been going down hill fast. My sister, was flying in from Seattle, she didn't make it time. That weekend all 4 of the siblings stayed at her house. She made me in charge of the will, don't know what I'm doing so I'm meeting with a lawyer on Monday. We have to clean out the house, she has tons of junk, then we are going to paint and try to sell the house. The hardest part of all this is that I talked with my mother everyday. Now when I have something stupid to tell her she's not there. Thanks for stopping by, will try to post more, but still so much to do.
