simple christmas card

i saw this some place and thought it was a cute idea. i punched a scallop circle, then used a circle punch for the center. added a little ribbon, a score line and then merry christmas. thanks for stopping by, have a great tuesday,

more christmas

this stamp set is from su. it just has the bigger holly leaf, i just kept stamping it, then cut it down. i used real red  and wild wasabi. i slowly but surely getting my christmas cards done. now i have to start addressing them. it's back to school today after having the thanksgiving break. it's aways fun, the kids will have to get back in the habit of school. have a great day.

it's been a while

it's been a while since i've posted a card, hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. i've been working crazy hours at sears, i was there until midnight one night, and there at 6 this morning. i'm trying to stay awake and watch dexter, i think i should set the dvr. went to a khs alumni hockey game, cody is considered an old timer now. then when out with his girlfriend for drinks. the alumni won and cody did a good job. i can remember when he was little and i told him "just think when day you will play hockey for the high school" and now it's all over and it went by soooo fast. i got the colors for this card from the color coach. the blue is not quite navy, but it looks more like ballet blue. i used poppy parade designer paper and sahara sand. i embossed the image with clear embossing powder, but it has a little dazzling diamonds in it. the image looks pretty in real life. thanks for stopping by.

used an embossing folder with marina mist, then used early espresso and whisper white. super easy card. thanks for looking.  i work at school and sears today. only school tomorrow, looking forward to a few days off. work on black friday. i really wish i didn't have to work and extra job. why can't i win powerball? have a great monday.

christmas poinsettia

this is a card i made using poppy parade and old olive. i used the flower layer #4 die and layered some layers. i scored down the middle of each flower petal with by score buddy. the leaves are the bird wing from the bird punch from su. my daughter said that it was pretty, but i would be hard to mail. she has a point. maybe i will have to hand deliver this one. i'm working at sears at 7 this morning. i hate working in retail during the holidays. have a wonderful day.

christmas card

trying to get christmas cards done. some people make one design, but i make a lot of different ones. i saw a card using lovely as a tree for christmas tree branches. i thought it was so cute i tried it myself. i cute out a tree and popped it out with dimensionals. then  hung a decoration on it. so glad it's friday. have a great day.

another snowman card

here's another  snowman card, i think he's the cutest thing. tonight is the night i get to stamp, but i have book group. we read the book goodbye and amen. i didn't like the book. i tried and tried to read it, i was 1/2 way through and i just couldn't finish.it. the next one we are reading is the girl with the dragon tattoo. i hear that is really good. hopefully, i can make a card or 2 before i have to leave for book group. have a great tuesday.

i did this card for the color challenge over at stamp tv. all products are stampin up. the second graders and i are going to a farm today. we are going to milk cows, make butter and bread. it should be a lot of fun. hope it's not to cold.  have a great monday.

i'm going to a baby shower this weekend for a co worker. this is the card i came up with. she knows she is going to have a little boy. hope she likes it. all supplies are su. have a fun friday.

tempting butterflies

here is another challenge card from scs. we were to use the colors, poppy parade, tempting turquoise and white, an added bonus was to use butterflies on your card. to day is Veteren's Day, thank you to all our armed forces men and women. no schoo today and no sears, hopefully i can get a lot of stamping done, i should really clean the house. have a great day.

here's a simple card i made for a challenge over at scs. you had to use green. when i made the card it looked straight, but looking at it here it looks crooked. oh well, the eyes aren't what they used to be.  maybe it's how it took the picture, ya that's it. have a great day and keep stamping.

sympathy card

this is another challenge from scs. it was to make a sympathy card. i found some embossing borders and thought it would look good on this card. sympathy cards are so hard to make. you don't want them to flashy. i think this one turned out okay. thanks for looking.

gate fold card

i wish i had more time to stamp and to look for challenges. i love scs, so that's where i get most of my card ideas. this was the color challenge this week. you had to use early espresso, cajun craze  and peach parfait. i also used very vanilla for the inside and the polka dot embossing folder. all supplies are from stampin us. i have a book to read for book group but i have to return it to the library. i need more time for reading as well. thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
